As Redcliffe Partners previously informed here, Ukrainian companies had to disclose their ultimate beneficial owners and ownership structure in the Ukrainian companies register until 10 October 2021.
On 8 October 2021, the parliament of Ukraine adopted amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Prevention and Counteraction of Legalisation (Money Laundering) of Illegally Obtained Proceeds, Financing of Terrorism and Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction”, where the term for legal entities to fulfil their obligation on the provision of information about their ultimate beneficial owner(s) and submission of the ownership structure was extended for nine months. The amendments have been signed by the President and officially promulgated. Now, legal entities will have until 10 July 2022 to disclose the required information. Note that the requirements for the scope of the disclosure have not been changed.
