Ukrainian Railways is a state-owned strategic infrastructure and transportation enterprise. Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the company has played a vital role as the country’s primary provider of passenger and freight rail transportation, ensuring the continuity of critical domestic and international transportation amid unprecedented challenges.
The dispute arose out of a railroad repair services agreement between Ukrainian Railways and another state-owned strategic enterprise in the railway sector.
The arbitral tribunal rendered an award entirely in favour of Ukrainian Railways, granting the totality of the relief sought on the merits, as well as legal costs and attorneys’ fees, with interest.
