Redcliffe Partners, acting as lead counsel, advised Viterra, a key contributor to the world’s global food supply, on the acquisition of a silo in Vinnytsia Region, Ukraine. The silo has a storage capacity of 26,000 tonnes and can load up to 54 railway cars in 40 hours.
The acquisition underscores Viterra’s ongoing commitment to supporting Ukrainian agriculture through strategic investments in infrastructure. The company is solidifying its position in the global food supply chain by increasing direct origination from local producers and through optimization of the flow of goods to Ukraine’s deep-sea ports.
The Redcliffe team assisted the Buyer by reviewing prior results of the target’s due diligence, appraising risks identified during the review, and drafting and negotiating the bilingual SPA along with other transactional documents. After accounting for due diligence risks, our team assisted the Buyer by providing action options and contingencies for potential transactional pitfalls.
Our advising team on the transaction comprised Natalia Gerus, Counsel, Michael Davies, Of Counsel, and Lara Townzen, Associate.
