Supporting Ukrainian war veterans is a critical step in the path to victory and rebuilding.
Redcliffe Partners is honoured to have been able to support Ukrainian Action. Our team, led by Natalia Gerus, Counsel, and Zakhar Kymberskyi, Associate, prepared the necessary documents, provided legal advice, and assisted in preparing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the principles and procedures of cooperation between Ukrainian Action and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Action is a US and UK nonprofit charity dedicated to supporting the survival and recovery of Ukraine. The result of the relationship between Ukrainian Action and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs is the establishing a collaboration with Ukraine’s Ministry of Veteran Affairs for the Ukrainian Action Heroes Rehabilitation Program. The program aids Ukrainian war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and includes a two-week retreat in the Carpathian Mountains that focuses on psychological support and well being through group therapy combined with outdoor physical activities in the peaceful setting of the mountains.
The MoU was signed last month in Kyiv by Maksym Kushnir, Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs, and Jeffrey Hartman, Ukrainian Action’s CEO.
