Sergiy Gryshko discussed the speed and costs of the arbitration under the procedural changes implemented by the 2017 ICC Rules

On 2 November 2017, Sergiy Gryshko, Partner and the Head of the Dispute Resolution practice of Redcliffe Partners, spoke at the ICC 2017 Rules Explained event co-organised by ICC International Court of Arbitration and ICC Ukraine. Sergiy delivered a presentation on the procedural changes implemented by the 2017 ICC Rules regarding the speed and costs of the arbitration. In particular, he analysed the efficiency of a number of innovations called on to improve the current state of affairs with regard to the ICC arbitration. He shared his views on efficient organisation of arbitral proceedings and its impact on duration of the proceedings and associated costs. Sergiy also discussed the sanctions imposed on parties and arbitrators for delays. The event provided the arbitration practitioners with an unprecedented opportunity to hear and discuss the insights regarding the recent amendments to the world’s most frequently used arbitration rules.
