Rob Shantz, a partner and Head of the Corporate practice at Redcliffe Partners, recently gave an interview to CEE Legal Matters Magazine dedicated to his legal career path and activity in Ukraine. He starts with outlining the key milestones on this path, including moving to Poland as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer, and then, after working in both Poland and Romania, ultimately arriving in Ukraine in 2001, and joining Redcliffe Partners in December 2015.
Rob also provides his views on living and making a career in Kyiv as an expat on the Ukrainian market, describing client interactions, and noting certain differences between the Ukrainian and American judicial systems and legal markets. He also notes that in Ukraine “the highs are higher, and the lows are lower, but it’s never boring” and talks about other CEE countries he enjoys visiting, as well as certain of his favourite places in Kyiv.
