Sergiy Ignatovsky is a Partner at Redcliffe Partners and is one of the top professionals in Ukraine focusing on restructurings and special situations.

Sergiy’s professional background is very diverse. He has previously worked for many years as a Partner in the litigation groups of several leading Ukrainian law firms, as well as the General Counsel with Metinvest, one of the largest CEE producers of steel and iron ore raw materials.

In 2016, Sergiy was appointed by the creditors’ committee as the General Counsel of Mriya Agro Holding to carry out the complicated, unprecedented and unique financial restructuring of the group following its USD 1.3 billion default. As the General Counsel, Sergiy was responsible for handling hundreds of court proceedings and dozens of bankruptcies throughout Ukraine and advising on the subsequent sale of Mriya Agro Holding to a strategic investor.

In 2019-2020, Sergiy was a Deputy Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, where he was in charge of corporate governance for state-owned enterprises.
