At the WindEurope conference, a dedicated poster presentation on Ukraine was made for the first time. Entitled “Financing Wind Power Projects in Ukraine”, it was prepared by Svitlana Teush, head of the Renewable Energy and Construction practices at Redcliffe Partners, and Andriy Konechenkov, Chairman of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA). The poster presentation showed the major investment highlights of the wind power industry in Ukraine, with a focus on the attractive state support mechanism and the improved bankability of power purchase agreements. It also provided an outline of the main stages of developing a renewable energy project in Ukraine, and presented the case study of financial restructuring of a 200MW project in Ukraine covered by the export credit agency EKF.
